We caught up with Paul Campilo, VP of Brand at Twism ahead of the B2B Marketing Festival taking place next week.
Please could you introduce yourself?
Hi, I'm paul Campilo and I'm VP of brand at Twism. Our technology basically creates network and viral effects for small businesses. And it doesn't matter if you're the Etsy Shop owner or the local barber. That's our promise. Prior to that, 6.5 years at Typeform, and also creator of Meaningful, an award-winning web series that's currently featured on Typerform.
What will you be discussing at the upcoming B2B Marketing Festival?
So my talk is titled How to Win with Brand. And essentially what that means for me is how do you get past the clutter and get people to talk about you? And we're going to talk about organic word of mouth and how, to me, that is still the number one acquisition channel in the world, and how to get more of that for you, your business, and your products.
What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?
So I believe my talk can be summed up with two quotes. The first one is advertising is the tax you pay for being unremarkable, and the 2nd one is whoever gets closest to the customer wins. And hopefully, by the time you leave, you will know how to be more remarkable and how to get closer to your customers so you can win more.
Which other sessions are you looking forward to attending at the festival?
So I think the session I'm looking most forward to is one by Kevin Lau from Adobe. The customer marketing playbook, anything that involves those two words I'm here for. And then how to build a stronger brand through storytelling, I'm looking forward to that as well.
