We got speaking to Britta Agel, Global Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning at Spryker, to discuss her experience of RMA’s ambassador program and the many benefits it has to offer.

How did you find out about the RMA ambassador program?

I stumbled upon Revenue Marketing Alliance while exploring the Product Marketing Alliance community, aiming to align our product marketing team more closely with our overall marketing efforts.

It was a serendipitous discovery as we had recently rebranded our Demand Generation Marketing team to Revenue Marketing, aligning with the Alliance's mindset perfectly.

What inspired you to join the program?

I was inspired to join the ambassador program by the opportunity to connect with fellow marketers in the niche field of revenue marketing. 

The global nature of the initiative excites me, as it offers a diverse range of experiences to learn from. The program provides a platform to continue developing my personal brand within the industry.

Which aspects of the ambassador program did you find the most valuable?

The most valuable aspect of the ambassador program, for me, is the direct access to other experts via Slack. It's incredibly beneficial to be able to connect and collaborate with like-minded professionals in real time. 

Additionally, I appreciate the platform the Revenue Marketing Alliance offers for publishing content, which aligns perfectly with my goal of regularly sharing insights and expertise.

No team can be successful in isolation. Well, not if they want to deliver the most seamless experience for prospects and customers.

How have you utilized the free Pro membership that comes with being an RMA ambassador?

The Pro membership has been incredibly valuable to me. I'm an avid learner, so having free access to virtual events, early reports, and new courses has been fantastic. 

I appreciate the opportunity to contribute my insights and ideas to shape the future of the Revenue Marketing Alliance – it's empowering to be part of such a dynamic community.

How have you contributed to the RMA community?

I've contributed to the RMA community in various ways, including regular engagement on Slack, where I exchange insights and ideas with fellow members.

I had the honor of presenting at the Revenue Marketing Summit in London, where I made valuable connections and found inspiration from other presentations. 

I've authored two blog articles for the community and am already planning my next contributions.

Through these experiences, I've not only shared my expertise but also learned from the diverse perspectives and knowledge-shared within the RMA community.

Has the ambassador program helped to enhance your marketing credentials?

The ambassador program has indeed enhanced my marketing credentials. It's provided a platform for me to advocate even more passionately for the concept of revenue marketing, amplifying my expertise and influence within the industry. 

Additionally, the supportive community has empowered me to champion initiatives within my company with confidence, knowing I have a network of like-minded professionals backing me up.

Has this experience helped you to network?

Absolutely, this experience has been instrumental in expanding my network. 

The Revenue Marketing Summit was a significant catalyst, providing ample opportunities to connect with industry peers and experts. 

Additionally, through the ambassador program, I've connected with fellow ambassadors on LinkedIn, creating a supportive community where we can share insights, collaborate, and stay updated on each other's projects. 

It's been incredibly valuable in building new connections and fostering meaningful relationships within the industry.

How has this experience impacted your professional growth?

This experience has had a profound impact on my professional growth. Regularly contributing content has not only allowed me to share my insights but has also pushed me to reflect on my ideas and approaches. 

It's challenged me to research and approach topics differently, ultimately leading to a deeper understanding and refinement of my skills. 

Additionally, receiving concrete feedback from the community has been invaluable in guiding my development and driving continuous improvement in my work.

Would you recommend others to join the ambassador program?
